Once Again, With Feeling

These few days, I seem to be getting excited about Kingdom Hearts again. The last Kingdom Hearts game I played was Kingdom Hearts II but that was over a year ago (Or two). A new game (Out of three games) that is coming out for the Sony PSP is Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. Before I go any further, some of you might wonder, "What is Kingdom Hearts?". Well, the easiest way to find out would be to go to Wikipedia (Linked to the right for your convenience) and search for Kingdom Hearts. Since I have some time to spare, I'll just paste a excerpt from the article.

"Kingdom Hearts is an action role-playing game developed and published by Squaresoft (now Square Enix) in 2002 for the PlayStation 2 video game console. It is the result of a collaboration between Square and The Walt Disney Company. The game combines characters and settings from Disney's animated features with those from the Final Fantasy series, developed by Square. The story follows Sora, a young boy, as he is thrown into an epic battle against the darkness. He is joined by Donald Duck and Goofy, classic Disney characters, who help him on his quest.

Kingdom Hearts was a departure from Square's standard role-playing games by introducing a substantial action-adventure element. In addition, it had an all-star voice cast which included many of the Disney characters' original voice actors. Kingdom Hearts was also longtime Square character designer Tetsuya Nomura's first time in a directorial position.

Kingdom Hearts was praised for its unusual combination of action and role-playing, as well as its unexpectedly harmonious mix of Square and Disney. It received numerous year-end "Best" video game awards and was a dominating presence in the 2002 holiday season and went on to achieve Sony "Greatest Hits" status. Since its release, Kingdom Hearts has sold over 5.6 million copies worldwide and has been followed by two sequels. Three more titles are currently being developed, which have a connection to a future, unannounced game."

Anyway, back to the main point of this post, I feel that Birth by Sleep looks like it's going to be awesome. And because I like this trailer/teaser, I'll post it here.

I'm pretty sure you were curious to see Mickey Mouse (Of all the fictional characters in the world), and I have to say, that he actually kicks ass in Kingdom Hearts II. Sure, he can't defeat bosses because they need to be defeated by a combo finisher which he doesn't have, but he still kicks ass regardless.

Currently, there is no release date for Birth by Sleep, which makes me feel kinda sad as Kingdom Hearts I and II were pretty fun and interesting. Also, I cna't play both games anymore because my brother's PS2 is retarded and it won't read the game discs anymore. Now that I have posted what I wanted, I'm heading off. Until next time.

Fun Fact: Jesse McCartney voiced Roxas in Kingdom Hearts II.
